Dear 5th Grade Families,

As the year winds down, we wanted to update you on a few year-end events for 5th-graders.

Promotion Ceremony/Reception:

On Wednesday, May 21st at 5:00 pm Archway Trivium will hold a promotion ceremony in the school gymnasium. In addition to our scholars being welcomed as the 2025-2026 incoming 6th grade class for Trivium Prep, there will be a poetry recitation performed by our scholars. We ask that all 5th-grade scholars arrive at 4:40 p.m. on the Archway Trivium Campus. Scholar’s entrance will be through the Archway MPR doors (multi-purpose room facing the north side of campus). Scholars will assemble and get into numerical class order for the procession. Parents should enter the Trivium Gymnasium through the Northeast doors. Each scholar will receive four tickets to the event.

Student attire is semi-formal:

The semi-formal dress code for young men is dress slacks (no jeans or patched pocket pants), a dress shirt with collar, dark socks, dress shoes (no sneakers or sandals), and ties may be worn. No dyed hair or hats. Hair should be trimmed appropriately.

The semi-formal dress code for young women is modest length skirts or dresses (no shorter that the uniform skirt) or appropriately fitting dress slacks; bare midriffs are not acceptable. Modestly cut sleeveless tops/dresses are allowed; ladies may not wear strapless, spaghetti-strap, or tank tops. Girls should wear dress shoes. No flip-flops. No dyed hair. No heels over 2 inches, and no denim jackets.

Virtue Brunch

On Thursday, May 22, Archway Trivium 5th-grade scholars will have a virtue brunch from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the classrooms. The brunch is for students only. Be on the watch for a sign-up for supplies and volunteers being emailed out in the following weeks.
